WRITTEN, PERFORMED AND PRODUCED BY JASON TOHTZ AND SHANNON FERN
Tomato goo soaked bread
Microfiber towels
When your socks are wet from an errant puddle on the ground
The mouthfeel of a green banana
The sound of styrofoam
Popsicle sticks, what a sick trick
My god, it’s all so foul
The world is full of textures
Wish it wasn’t, honestly
Why aren’t there texture inspectors?
To keep the gross ones off of me
Ligament in chicken
Dirty potato skin
Every time I’ve spent loads on sushi, nope out ‘fore I tuck in
An itchy, thick old t-shirt
The pith of an orange
Overcooked broccoli, look how it mocks me
Oh lord I just can’t win
[Spoken] Sometimes, when the textures are too much, I go down a Google rabbit hole trying to understand why I’m like this. Do I have misophonia? Did a traumatic experience in my youth alter how my brain processes sensory information, leading to hypersensitivity to stimuli like sounds, sights, touch, or smells? Am I just….weird?
The world is full of textures
I wish it wasn’t, honestly
Why aren’t there texture inspectors?
To keep the gross ones off of me
The world is full of textures
I wish it wasn’t, honestly
Why aren’t there texture inspectors?
To keep the nasty ones away from me
