Meet a CSGer: Tatiana

You've seen her designs, now meet the mind behind the designs as Tatiana shares some fond memories and fur baby photos.

Animal Lover

As a child my family household was home to many pets including a frog, a geico, hamsters and birds. And of course we also owned two dogs, named Mon Ami and Tinkerbell, and a tabby cat named Puffy.

Currently my family and I own two cats and a dog, named Mia, Bianca and Dazzle respectively. While my lifestyle aligns best with that of a cat person, I love all creatures big and small! Of our pets Bianca is especially close to me; as I save up for an apartment one that allows pets is definitely necessary! Pictured here is our puppy dog Dazzle!

Color Guard Girl

All four years of high school I was a part of my school's marching band as a flag bearer. I have a lot of fond memories of the competitions we attended, but one memory in particular that was especially a highlight for me was when we performed in the Parade of Lights where I was on television for a very brief moment. In my senior year of high school the color guard also had the opportunity to participate in a winter guard competition in which we did a zombie themed flag and rifle routine. Pictured here is my outfit for the routine, I promise I was not beat up in a fight 😂

Piano Player

Along with my band activities I practiced piano throughout high school, visiting my piano instructor once a week for lessons. Sadly, once I started taking college courses I gradually had less time to practice and haven’t touched a piano in a long time. Perhaps one day I’ll find the motivation to get back to playing frequently. Picture is unrelated, but I wanted to show you all a picture of Mia!

Video Gamer

I grew up with two brothers, one older and one younger, so we would often play co-op video games together. I still love playing video games often, and from a design standpoint, I enjoy taking a closer look at the design elements of the games I play, such as how the menus and UI of different games are designed. I'm also often amazed at the interesting ways they can be used to tell stories (btw if you're looking for a really good horror game for October I recommend checking out Aka Manto). I especially have a soft spot for Nintendo games so if you come across any cute Nintendo related merch online definitely let me know! Here's a pic of some game merch I own as well as Bianca chilling.

Future New York Visit

When I was 12 or so years old, I had the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall as part of my district's choir group. It was a really amazing experience with the caveat that most of our time was spent in choir practice; we were only able to explore so much of New York in that short time. What I was able to see of the Big Apple during the trip was really special to me though, and a goal of mine now is to have the opportunity to go visit again someday soon!
